THE HOLLY SPRINGS HIGH DANCE REPERTORY COMPANY
The HSDRC is an after school activity designed to provide additional training/performance opportunities for the serious-minded dancer. Students involved in the Repertory Company learn and create choreography for three major productions; the Nutcracker, Musical, Symposium & Honors Night as well as perform for the HSHS Basketball games. Additional opportunities for other performance events throughout the school year may arise. The sophomore and junior members of the company are invited to attend festival each year.

Entrance into the Repertory Company is based on an audition in the spring prior to the next school year. Students must be enrolled in a dance elective during the current year to remain eligible to be in the company. Students of the dance program who are not members of the HSDRC in any of the abovementioned ways can attend the open call at auditions to be considered for involvement in the Nutcracker and/or Musical and invited to perform with the company for that specific performance only.
Participants in the Repertory Company must be in good academic and discipline standing and able to commit to all scheduled practices. Any student who earns a “C” or “D” in any given subject is placed on probation. An “F” results in dismissal from the company.
Rehearsals are typically held Monday through Friday, beginning at 2:30 and end by 4:30.

HSDRC members will also need TUESDAY and FRIDAY evenings available to perform at our basketball games from November through March.
